"During my internship, I’ve been able to experience what it's like to be in the professional world. Up to this point, I've worked mainly in customer service jobs, so I've never truly had the experience of being in an office in a professional setting. So, I'd have to say my favorite part of all of this is that feeling of advancement I'm getting as I'm working on actual client projects, networking at events, getting to understand what other people’s positions are like, and really what I could expect down the line continuing a position like this. Networking in general, has really helped me to establish what people might expect of me and just overall establish more long-term connections that'll be helpful down the line."

"I think, probably like most college accounting students in your first internship, you go into it, and you're expecting to sit behind a desk, look at numbers, and do work the entire time. On one of the first weeks, Mike Bauer, who's the Director of the Audit group, I remember him saying, “As an accountant, I work with people we just talk about numbers.” So that really has shaped my internship. In school, when you work with people to a degree, it's like cheating. You can't get the answers from other people. However, once you get to the working world, not only is it good but it's like required and super helpful to be sharing with other people, learning from them, and doing work together. So, I think that the biggest thing that's contributed to my learning experience is that you need to collaborate with other people."

"The relationships I built at Clearview Group have made my internship experience amazing. From day one, everyone was so welcoming, and it felt like being part of one big family. The managers were friendly and approachable, feeling more like coworkers than bosses, which created a really comfortable and collaborative atmosphere. Also, the camaraderie among the interns made coming into the office enjoyable, and it was easy to connect with everyone. Overall, Clearview's exceptional mentorship helped me learn a lot, making this internship an incredibly valuable experience."

"Having a direct line of communication to be able to talk to the directors of the practice has been the most influential part of my experience. A lot of other interns at different firms don't get that opportunity. The directors were able to share a lot of knowledge with me that I would not get otherwise, like how they got to the position they're at today and to be head of their department."

"I really enjoyed the friendly environment here at Clearview. Everyone that I worked with and have met in person have all been so friendly and always would ask me how I am doing and want to catch up. "I really enjoyed meeting all the department heads and our CEO, Brian Davis. It was a good experience because I got to learn about the different parts of Clearview, and it got me even more excited to work here. I loved learning the history of the firm and its values.

I had the opportunity to go on a networking trip with Rich, Geoff, Blake and Jamie, where I was able to observe them practicing networking, which was very valuable to me. I appreciate the chance to do something totally different from what I do day-to-day in my audit internship role."

"Since my first day here, I got to experience interesting trainings and projects on software I've never used before. I'm proud to have grown more familiar with navigating and working with CCH Axcess and Engagement. I'm impressed with how well-versed and thorough my colleagues are, not only with software but tax in general. Therefore, not only are the technical developments rewarding, but I feel really lucky to be surrounded by such an amazing and smart team.

I've gotten the opportunity to make all kinds of relationships here at Clearview Group, not just in my department, which is to the credit of intern events being so inclusive. I admire the individuals I work with in my department and how they're able to make work such an enjoyable learning environment, as well as those I've had the ability to converse with in other departments around the office. From good mornings at the front desk to shared elevator rides leaving the office, every interaction has become a great memory."
